How the RampX monitor system works

  1. Sensors record

    Wireless sensors report every few minutes through a gateway on site. Readings missed during a network outage are recovered from the sensors' own memory, so the record has no gaps.

  2. Alarms reach the right people

    When a reading goes out of range, RampX sends SMS and email alarms to the people on duty, with separate routing for work hours, after hours and public holidays, and escalation if nobody responds.

  3. Records are ready for audit

    Charts, scheduled reports and mean kinetic temperature are available in any web browser. Every reading, alarm and setting change is kept in an audit trail.

What is RampX?

RampX is an environmental monitoring system developed by ECE in Australia. It collects readings from wireless sensors, raises an alarm when a reading goes out of range, and keeps a complete record for reporting and audits. RampX runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to install.

What can the RampX monitor system measure?

Temperature, humidity, CO2, air quality, pressure, light, door openings, power and equipment status, from wireless sensors or from existing equipment and building systems.

Who is notified when an alarm goes off?

You choose. RampX sends SMS and email alarms to different people during work hours, after hours and on public holidays, repeats them until someone responds, and escalates to a manager if nobody does.

Where is RampX data stored?

ECE hosts RampX systems on servers in Australia, with nightly backups. RampX can also be installed on a customer's own server.
